  • Definitely a 5 star hotel! From the moment you enter the hotel yo are so well taken care of by your hosts Marteen and Sofia. They really just blew me away with there incredible attitudes. The Hotel is ideally located if you are looking to cycle in the area. The hotel has modern, clean, functional rooms with comfortable beds and bathrooms and many of the rooms over looking the river that passes through the valley. The restaurant and particularly the food are worth a special mention. Marteen is an incredible chef. This is THE place to stay in the area!

I had read good reviews about Le Cassini. Even though it was late and we arrived, on bike, well beyond the diner time, we were made to feel welcome and Maarten still whipped us tired cyclists up a great meal. Owner run, eager to satisfy, extremely helpful and fantastic food all around. Of note – on our 16 day bike tour through the Alps, Le Cassini was by far all most memorable all round stay – many thanks Sophia and Maarten and staff who really made us feel welcome and at home!

  • While the hotel rooms are quite basic, Sophia and Martin set a new level in service and were obliging to any special requests. The Hotel is set in a quiet town next to a river and has a really nice outdoor terrace area. We had a group on 12 stay and enjoyed the most amazing meal as a finale to a 10 day cycling tour. We’ll be back for sure!

We felt warm, relaxed and nurtured from the moment of our arrival and it helped to make our short cycling adventure especially memorable. It must have been good because the weather didn’t matter! So, a really comfortable room, delicious wholesome food, bikes safe, lovely peaceful surroundings, expert route advice – and delightful hosts. A winning combination!

  • I spent 4 nights here with a buddy while on a cycling adventure in the Alps. The room was clean and comfortable. The food was amazing – breakfast and especially dinner. Sophia and Maarten were spectacular hosts and made sure we were well taken care of – from coordinating the drop off and pick up of our rental bikes, to setting up a post-ride massage, to helping us plan out our ride routes, to even making sure we had clean clothes. They were great. The ambiance was quaint, cozy and social. I hope to be back visiting soon and I highly recommend Hotel Cassini to everyone.

Sophia and Maarten, are treasures. They were very responsive to all our requests. They suggested modifications to some of our planed rides. These turned out to be local roads with some of the nicest and most scenic routes that we were on in the area. The breakfast buffet was extensive and delicious. The dinners were all excellent and a real treat. There was a beautiful view of the adjacent mountains, fields and river. Everything was spotlessly clean. During our stay, we met very nice fellow guests from Italy, Germany and the United States, as well as a team of athletes from Holland. In winter, there are two large Alpine ski areas in the region, this hotel offers good access to both.

  • Gorgeous little hotel! The hotel is owner run by a very friendly Dutch couple Sophie and Martijn.
It is conveniently nestled in between the two major winter/summer stations of Alpe d’Huez and Les 2 Alps. The hotel is very clean and the food was exceptional. Our room was facing out back with a view up the mountain and over the river. Great location for cycling, hiking, walking, skiing, or driving the stunning roads around that area of the French alps!

First of all: Food (half pension included) and service was excellent! We went skiing in L’Alpe d’Huez, and could have chosen a closer hotel, but it was wonderful to relax a little away from the crowd and to enjoy the wonderful dinner in the evening at Le Cassini. I believe the hotel must be excellent for bikers in the summer season!
